Generation Cluster

As EV automobiles become available more and more, the cluster board has been working with Reston Association and discussing options for providing EV charging in our neighborhood, either from individual homes or shared charing locations.

As we explore these options and plan for the future, we are looking for volunteers to form a committee to continue the research and develop a plan for our neighborhood. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and we will be in touch with the next steps.

After the sudden bankruptcy of Haulin Trash, we have signed a new contract with Patriot Disposal who will be servicing our neighborhood for trash removal. Please note the following:

• Trash Service Pickup: Monday and Thursday
• Recycling Pickup: Wednesday
• Yard Waste Pickup: Saturday

It has been brought to our attention this morning that our trash service (Haulin Trash) has unexpectedly closed its doors. 

The board is in the process of working with management to contract with another vendor. Due to short notice from Haulin Trash, their will unfortunately be no trash pickups until sometime next week.   We are hoping that trash pickup will continue as soon as we can without any further delay. 

We appreciate your patience and will keep you posted.

Please note that as of Oct 25, 2022 trash service is provided by Haulin Trash. Please see the Trash Removal page for more info.

Trash and recycling days stay the same with yard waste pickup available on Tuesdays.

An important update is that Haulin Trash will pick up as early as 6 AM so please make sure to have your trash out early and in appropriate containers.

Please join us for the 2022 Generation Cluster Annual meeting. It will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, October 18 at the Reston Community Center in Hunter Woods Plaza.

Please join us to vote on the budget and upcoming board elections.

The 2021 Annual Meeting for Generation Cluster will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT: This will be a virtual meeting and to receive the meeting login information, you must first submit your proxy form that you should have received by mail, or you can access here. It’s important to submit your proxy in order that we may reach a quorum to conduct the meeting business, and to elect one new board member. 

A photograph or PDF document of your signed proxy should be sent by email to Candee Percherke (cpercherke@rosewoodmcs.com) at Rosewood Management NO LATER THAN noon on Monday, November 16, 2021, to be counted for the meeting quorum. Your proxy can also be signed and given to another homeowner or board member if you do not plan to attend the meeting. But this action must also be completed by noon on Monday, November 16.

If you are interested in serving on the Generation Cluster Board, please indicate on your proxy form that you are interested in running for a seat on the Board of Directors.We are currently accepting Board nominations for the one open seat. You will be asked to introduce yourself at the meeting.

Apologies for the abrupt cancelation of the Sept. 15 board meeting. Almost immediately at the start of the meeting, the Zoom call was hacked and taken over by offensive and abusive individuals. This is why the meeting was brought to an abrupt close. 

The virtual meeting is being rescheduled for Wednesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m.

The Zoom link will no longer be published on our website but will be emailed to registered participants. To register as a meeting participant, please use our board meeting registration link.

You must register in advance to receive the virtual meeting details and passcode by email.

Currently, the board has no plans to resume in person meetings. 

We regret this change in procedure but this is the best way to keep hostile intruders out of our meetings. We appreciate your support and look forward to having you on our next virtual board meeting. Once registered using the form, you will receive meeting information by the email address you provide the day of the meeting.

Update:

The Generation Cluster Zoom meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 15, 2021 is cancelled due to an unfortunate hacking on Zoom. The meeting will be rescheduled.
